Hamstery Updates

Hi everyone. Unfortunately we have some bad news. Today we had to have our beautiful golden banded girl Lola put to sleep. Over the past couple of weeks she developed a large tumour on her tummy, which must have been pressing on her lungs and wind pipe and stopping her from breathing normally. She was a beautiful girl and much loved. R.I.P little one. :'( |

Hi everyone! =] Last Sunday was Lymm show, and we are pleased to say we brought home with us a new addition! =] She is a beautiful little sapphire WW called Harriet. We hope to mate her to one of our boys if they are still up for it, or if not to borrow a stud male for her. She is a little nervous but very sweet! =] |

Yesterday we collected our new hamster! =D She is an LH cinnamon rex and is absolutely gorgeous! We have called her Alliana Autumn. =] We would like to say a big thank you to the Alphabet Hamstery for letting us have her and to Teresa at Madabout for picking her up for us and for looking after her. Now I just need to get her page sorted! =] |

Today Alfie goes home to his owner Erin. We will be sad to see him go as he has really become a part of our hamstery, but I'm sure Erin will be dying to have him back! |

Hi! Not much has been happening recently. Today we went to Mapplewell show, but we only entered Bingley as Kipton wasn't well enough. Despite being a bit of an old man now he surprised us by getting second in junior! =] For the past week we have also had Alfie staying with us for our board-n-taming package. He is a gorgeous little man and got second in pets so we are very pleased with him! Napoleon also got a fourth in pets. =] |

Gus is home! :D He's running around happily in his cage, and, though a bit dozey, seems OK! :P We've not really seen underneath him so haven't seen his stitches, but he seems to have a bit of a shaved patch. :P The vet says we shouldn't handle him til tomorrow, but we will keep checking up on him throughout the day. The stitches are dissolving ones so he doesn't have to go back to the vets unless there's a problem. The vet thinks it was a mammary tumour ~ he said that even though he's a male he still has the glands and so could get it. He's been running around crazily, so doesn't seem all that bothered. He's been up on his platform and was also trying to dig under his sofa! :P |

Hi! As you may know we are currently looking after Gus, my school's hamster, for the hols. Unfortunately he has developed a lump on his tummy. Today he has gone in for an operation to have it removed, so fingers crossed that everything will be OK! =S |

Hi, I'm afraid we have more bad news. :'( Our little rex ham Crinkles that we were getting from the Alphabet Hamstery has sadly passed away. We were really excited and looking forward to getting him. We know that he was well loved, and that Molly and Emma took the greatest care of him. R.I.P Crinkles, we love you. :'( |

Today was Todmorden Show. It was a good day, but extremely wet and muddy! Kipton got 1st, Bingley got 3rd and Pringle cam 2nd, but our Syrians didn't get anything, though both scored well. |

After Paws passed on (R.I.P) our friends at the Alphabet Hamstery kindly offered us a baby hamster from their litter. We are lucky to be getting a beautiful rex boy from them in Summer! =D We are really excited and can't wait! |

I'm afraid we have some bad news. Yesterday our cream satin Paws passed away. He was over 2 years old, and went in his sleep. He was a much loved man and will not be forgotten. R.I.P little one. :'( |

We have a new additiion to Custard Hamstery! Today, when we went into our local petshop, a little cutie caught Iain's eye. He knew he had to bring her home, so his birthday voucher for a new ham has been redeemed! She is a golden banded, and she has an 'L' shape of golden going into her white part. Because of this he has decided to call her Lola. Her full name is Lola Jumeirah Custard, but it will probably be extended as she gets older. She is settling into her new gabber, but has not yet been to sleep! She loves her wodent wheel, and is hardly ever off it! She is also small enough to fit in her food bowl! We will take some pictures and add her page when she is settled in more, so watch out for that! |

Today was Brockholes Show, our own local one which we ran. We were all dashing around madly with toasties but it was still a great day. We are pleased to announce that Bingley got Best in Show Dwarf! |

Today was Topcliffe Show, and we are proud to say that Kipton got BIS Dwarf! =D We are very pleased with our Dwarfies! The others all did well too, with Bingley and Pringle winning their classes. |

Hi. Sadly we have some bad news. Our hamster Sonni sadly died in her sleep. We found her this afternoon curled up looking peaceful. She did not show any signs of illness, apart from being quite tired, and we think it was just old age. She was a lovely hamster and the light of her Dad's eye. R.I.P Sonn, we will always miss you. :'( |

Hi everyone! Saturday was Bradford Champs Show and we are very pleased to say that Kipton got BIS Dwarf!!! We are so pleased with our two mini men (aka Winter Whites)! |
